Cotswolds, England

Where the
countryside
comes alive

A restored 18th-century stone house in the heart of the Cotswolds, offering 12 rooms of quiet luxury surrounded by rolling hills and ancient woodlands.

Our Story

A place that feels
like it was always here

The Marigold began as a 1742 wool merchant's house, its Cotswold stone walls holding centuries of quiet stories. When we opened our doors in 2019, we didn't want to erase that history — we wanted to honour it.

Every room has been thoughtfully restored, blending original features like inglenook fireplaces and exposed oak beams with contemporary comforts. The garden was planted by hand. The linen is washed in lavender water. The breakfast comes from farms within five miles.

This isn't a hotel you pass through. It's a place you arrive at.

Evening dining is by reservation only, with a tasting menu that changes weekly according to what's in season. The wine list is curated by our sommelier, with a focus on natural and biodynamic producers.
