When a community lacks clean water, everything suffers. Children miss school to fetch water. Families fall ill from contaminated sources. Entire villages are trapped in a cycle that's entirely preventable.
Children — mostly girls — spend an average of 40 minutes per day collecting water. That's 200 hours a year. Two hundred hours they'll never get back, and can't spend in a classroom.
Contaminated water causes 485,000 deaths from diarrhea each year, mostly children under five. A single well can reduce waterborne disease by up to 96% in the surrounding community.
Clean water doesn't just hydrate — it transforms. Communities gain $27 for every $1 invested in water projects through improved health, education, and economic productivity.
Since 2015, we've worked alongside local communities to build sustainable water systems that last. Every well is co-designed with the community, maintained by trained local technicians, and monitored for years after installation.
Every project begins with a community vote and local leadership committee.
We train local technicians and fund repairs for five full years after construction.
Every well is tested quarterly and results are published publicly.
Each well serves approximately 500 people. Together, these 200 wells will bring clean water to over 100,000 people across rural Kenya, Bangladesh, and Guatemala.
58 wells still needed. Every donation gets us closer. $1,000 funds a well for an entire village.
These aren't abstract beneficiaries. They're mothers, teachers, students, and farmers whose lives changed the day clean water arrived.
"Before the well, I walked two hours each morning to fetch water for my family. Now I use that time to tend our garden. My daughter goes to school every day. For the first time, I can imagine a future."
"I'm a teacher at a school that now has a well on campus. Attendance jumped from 60% to 94% in the first semester. The kids aren't tired from walking for water anymore. They're here, learning, growing."
"My son stopped getting sick after the well was built. We used to spend most of our income on medicine. Now we can save, buy seeds, and think about next year. Water gave us back our dignity."
We believe in radical transparency. Here's what different donation amounts accomplish in a real community.
Provides a household ceramic filter that removes 99.9% of bacteria and parasites for one family.
Installs a hand pump and storage tank at a school, serving 200+ students daily.
Drills, builds, and commissions a borehole well serving ~500 people for 20+ years.
Builds a piped water system with multiple taps, serving an entire village of 2,000+ people.
Every dollar goes directly to building clean water access. 92¢ of every dollar funds projects. The remaining 8¢ covers essential operations.
💧 $100 installs a water system at a school, serving 200+ students every day.
